At MegaCon in February, when Tom was signing a movie poster for Ashley (@MellowMerrin), he made the comment that he didn’t have any of his own movie posters. So…Ashley has spent the last 5 months rounding up posters from every movie that Tom has appeared in.
On Saturday at Chicago Comic Con, we delivered Ashley’s gift to Tom, because she wasn’t able to make the trip. Here is the video of us giving the gift to Tom.
As you can see, Tom really loved it! He wanted to thank her, so we called her. Here is Tom on my phone waiting for her to answer.
As luck would have it, Ashley didn’t answer, so Tom left her a voicemail to thank her for the posters. This is her reaction. (The second message that she listens to is me screaming into her voicemail asking where she was. lol)
It was SO thoughtful of Tom to do this after Ashley spent so much time and energy getting these for him. As you can tell, she’s giddy!
I would imagine that Tom wishes he could thank all of his fans that give him gifts in such a personal way, but it’s just not possible. I’m thankful that we were able to capture this one.
